Our Ministry
The Vine Student Ministry is for students grades 7-12, and we define ourselves as "a community growing and abiding in Christ" Our name and identity are found within the words of John 15:5 - "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." We know that we can't make students grow. We can't make students love Jesus. But when we learn to truly remain in him, when we experience that, when we grow in Him, nothing can stop us! What an exciting thing to be a part of!
During the school year, our ministry is structured into junior high (7th-8th grade) and senior high (9th-12th) grade on Wednesday nights. We start out our Wednesday nights together in the Student Center for worship, announcements, and prayer. This has been a great setup for our ministry as students have transitioned better from the Children's area but also has allowed students to take more ownership of the ministry no matter their age. Check out the descriptions below for other ways students can connect.
Always feel free to contact Pastor Jake, Pastor to Senior High and Families, or Pastor Malorri, Pastor to Middle School and Families, with any questions or concerns. We would love to partner with your family!

Cross Cultural Mission Trip: One Heart, Many Hands
Indianapolis June 16-23, 2013
One Heart, Many Hands is a large scale service project partnering with the Church of the Nazarene prior to the denomination’s General Assembly and Conventions. About 75% of the projects that we will be working on will be owner-occupied homes. We will do minor to major repairs including roofing, siding, windows, painting, kitchen and bath remodels, landscaping, and etc. We will also work on church building and possible community centers. We have also formed a partnership with the local parks department and will work with them painting, landscaping and repairing park equipment.
One Heart, Many Hands is a great chance to join with other members of our
denomination to greatly impact the community of Indianapolis. We are currently bringing 10 sponsors and 43 students on this trip. There is still time to register late up to April 28th.
Click here for the full information packet for this trip as well as the forms needed to get registered.

Teen Bible Quizzing
Practices are held Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. in Room 227
This year we are studying the book of Matthew together. Quizzing is a great way to learn God's Word while having a blast with the team. We have lots of fun traveling to quiz meets together, wearing our war paint, and competing against teams from around the district.
If you are interested in quizzing, please contact Rick Goodwin or Pastor Malorri for more details.
